Learn to sew a pouf in this day sewing class.

The Closet Core Pouf is the ultimate scrap busting project. It’s a fun and easy quilting project that also makes additional seating or a nice rest for your tired feet. Not only can you use up your scraps of fabric for the outside of the pouf but wait for it – you can actually fill it with scraps too!!

If you have bags of scraps that are bursting at the seams, this is a perfect project for you!

This is a Level 3 class – it is suitable for those who have used a sewing machine before, can confidently thread the machine and bobbin and have sewn several projects before.

Please get in touch if you are not sure whether this is a suitable level for you.

In order to save time on the day, the paper pattern templates will be sent out to you in advance so that you can cut out your fabric pieces prior to the class. They can also be downloaded free from the Closet Core website here.

You will learn how to:

• How to sew your own piping
• How to insert a zip (standard or invisible)
• How to finish off raw edges neatly using a zig zag stitch or overcast foot. The overlocker will be available for you to use if you are familiar with an overlocker and confident using it.

What is included:

• Paper templates for the pouf which will be sent out in advance of the class.
• Full tuition in order to make your garment

You will need:

• Fabric  – it is recommended to use a sturdy, medium to heavyweight fabric.  You can use lighter weight fabric if you interface them first – in which case you will need enough fusible interfacing to interface your fabric pieces.
• 1 x 22″ zipper (an invisible zipper or regular one)
• Machine thread
• Optional – piping cord and fabric for piping
• Lunch – please bring lunch to have or feel free to visit one of the shops or cafes in Knowle.
