All About The Sew Facebook live sew-along….

Learn to make a simple tote bag

Grab a cuppa and join me live on my Facebook page as I teach you how to sew a simple tote bag. Have your machine threaded up and your fabric pieces cut out and I’ll teach you the rest. There will be the opportunity after the live sew along to purchase a photographic handout to support you repeating the project again and in case you want to sew at your own pace.

It’s time to gather your supplies!!!

You will need:

Approximately 0.6m cotton fabric

Please cut out your fabric into the following 4 pieces prior to the live sew along….

* Main bag – 2 rectangles of fabric 15” x 19” (38cm x 48cm)
* Straps – 2 rectangles of fabric 23” x 4” (59cm x 10cm)
* Matching thread or contrasting colour if you wish

You will also need:
scissors, tape measure or ruler, pins or clips, an iron/ironing board and of course a sewing machine!

If your fabric has a directional print to it, choose whether you want a portrait orientated bag (as pictured) or landscape orientated and cut your fabric pieces out accordingly so the pattern is in the right direction. You can also make the bag/straps bigger/longer if you wish.

It is free to join the live sew along but if you would like to buy a copy of the pattern to use again after then please see the below instructions.

 

Pattern instructions

These will be available to purchase after the event. It is a step by step photographic handout of the project produced by All About The Sew

It will be available to buy for 48 hours after the live sewalong (until 4pm on 17/3/20).

This is intended for personal use only and should not be reproduced in any way.

It will be emailed to you so you can save it or print it out at home.

Cost: £4

Please note only your Name and Email address are required. These will not be stored by All About The Sew after the transaction has been processed and I have emailed you the handout.
