**This workshop will be delivered virtually via the online video conferencing platform, Zoom. If you don’t already have a Zoom account, it is easy to set one up for free (basic package) via their website. The day before the workshop, I would email you the workshop joining instructions. Zoom allows 2 way communication between all participants and myself, allowing questions, feedback, demonstrations and conversation! It’s good fun and a great way to socialise with other people whilst sewing, during this period of Covid-19.**

Suggested fabrics
Medium weight knits with a minimum of 20% stretch such as French terry, sweatshirt fleece, sweater knits, and jersey. Extra fabric may be needed to match plaids, stripes, or one-way design prints.
Stretch percentage is an indicator of how stretchy a fabric is. This pattern requires fabric with a minimum of 20% stretch – i.e. when a 10cm piece of fabric is stretched to it’s maximum it would measure 12cm. A blog post with a clear explanation can be viewed here.
Please give me a call if you are in any doubt about fabric choices or suggestions of where to buy from.
It is recommended to pre wash your fabric before the workshop as it is likely to shrink a little in the first wash.
Cost £60 – for the 2 sessions.
Lorna says:
“I absolutely love the Linden sweatshirt. I have made several both for myself and other people and have plans to make a few more for sure! They are so snuggly and comfortable to wear. It is a really great pattern for those starting out in dressmaking. Don’t be put off by working with stretchy fabrics – its not as hard as you might think. If you don’t want to stress about matching up stripes/patterns then choose a plain fabric or a pattern with small print! The Linden sweatshirt offers a comfortable yet stylish wardrobe staple that looks great with anything! I’ve also worn one to Pilates for the warm up – it’s perfect for layering.”
