9:30 am - 1:00 pm
Duration – 3 1/2 hours
This workshop is suitable for those who have used a sewing machine before and can confidently thread the machine and bobbin. If you need a beginners class or a refresher then have a look at beginners classes available.
**This workshop will be delivered virtually via the online video conferencing platform, Zoom. If you don’t already have a Zoom account, it is easy to set one up for free (basic package) via their website. On the day of the workshop I would email you the workshop joining instructions. Zoom allows 2 way communication between all participants and myself, allowing questions, feedback, demonstrations and conversation! It’s good fun and a great way to socialise with other people whilst sewing, during this period of lockdown.**

I have chosen 2 beautiful, complementary fabrics for the bag. They are both 100% cotton, quilting weight fabrics from the charming Tilda fabric range. These 2 particular fabrics are from their Harvest collection in the green and ginger colourways. One will be used for the outer fabric/straps and one for the lining fabric
I am pretty confident, with some clever cutting, I will have enough of both fabrics to allow you to choose which way round you would like the fabrics – i.e. which you would like for the outer and which you would like for the lining. I will know more once I know how many people are booked on and start preparing the pieces. Choices will be allocated on a first come first serve basis so let me know when you book what your preference is. I cannot guarantee your choice but I will do my best!
Please let me know:
Which fabric you would like for the outer fabric/straps and which you would like for the lining e.g. green for the outer and ginger for the lining or vice versa.
Once you have booked and made your choice, please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. I will let you know if your choice isn’t available.
**Once the supplies have been posted out, there will not be an option for a refund on the class**.
“I’m really excited about this brand new workshop! I love the bag I have made and the extra features make it even more useful than a regular tote bag for example, the internal pocket and magnetic clasp. Once you know the principles and techniques, you can custom make other bags to any size, for instance this would make a great beach bag too. I find it so satisfying making tote bags as not only do they look great but it helps to reduce my use of plastic when shopping and therefore helping the environment too! The Tilda fabric is also absolutely gorgeous and I think you will love sewing with it!”
This workshop is fully booked.
