Come along and get prepared for Spring/Summer by learning how to sew some beautiful bunting. The bunting will be double sided and use bias binding to form the string of bunting.
This workshop is suitable for beginner sewers and those with previous machine experience. (Due to the limited time in the workshop full instruction/practice of the sewing machine will be difficult – this is covered more thoroughly on a beginner’s class. If you think you would benefit from instruction on how to use the machine please look at coming to one of my beginners workshops first).
Why not book with friends so you can get into the spirit together?!
Equipment and Materials:
Janome sewing machines and basic sewing tools provided to use.
Bias binding included.
Tea/Coffee included.
What you need to bring:
3 fat quarters of fabric (different designs) – readily available in packs of 5-7 fat quarters in haberdasheries e.g Hobbycraft, John Lewis
Lorna says, “Bunting is such a sweet, satisfying project to sew. It can be completely customised and unique by choosing fabric to suit the theme, person or space. This bunting is double sided so looks really professional and can be used time and time again. I’m thinking gazebos in the Summer, kid’s bedrooms, birthday parties, tents and awnings when camping….the opportunities are endless!!”
