Learn to sew a Summer top or dress - Tilly and the Buttons Stevie
“With no darts, zips or set-in sleeves, Stevie is a satisfyingly quick and easy make - yay! Stevie has a modern, boxy fit, with round neckline and grown-on sleeves, closing at the back with pretty ties or button loop. Make as a top with cropped hemline that hits the high hip, or above-the-knee dress length, with optional turn-up cuffs and patch pocket. Throw it on with a statement necklace and you’re good to go!” (taken from the Tilly and the Buttons website)

Light- to medium-weight woven fabrics such as linen, double gauze, chambray, cotton lawn, viscose (rayon).
If you are relatively new to sewing then don’t choose anything that is too slippery.
Please give me a call if you are in any doubt about fabric choices or suggestions of where to buy from.
It is recommended to pre wash your fabric before the workshop as it is likely to shrink a little in the first wash.
Cost £60- for the 2 sessions.
Lorna says:
“The Stevie top and dress are perfect Spring/Summer additions to your wardrobe and look great in a wide variety of fabrics. It is classed as a beginner pattern - there are no darts, the sleeves are the same pattern piece as the bodice and there are no fiddly fastenings. It’s also a nice loose fit so fitting isn’t too tricky. I layer mine up in the Autumn/Winter by wearing a long sleeved jersey top underneath, making them even more versatile to wear throughout the year.”
