This workshop is suitable for those with basic machine skills (able to thread the machine, wind a bobbin, sew a straight stitch).
**This workshop will be delivered virtually via the online video conferencing platform, Zoom. If you don’t already have a Zoom account, it is easy to set one up for free (basic package) via their website. On the day of the workshop I would email you the workshop joining instructions. Zoom allows 2 way communication between all participants and myself, allowing questions, feedback, demonstrations and conversation! It’s good fun and a great way to socialise with other people whilst sewing, during this period of lockdown.**
Learn how to sew a quilted advent calendar
Learn how to make a beautiful quilted advent calendar. These calendars have pockets that can be filled with choccies/sweets/messages.
Materials included
- fabric panel
- wadding
- backing fabric
- ribbon/string for hanging.
Optional item that you would provide:
Wooden dowel/stick for hanging.
**There are 4 different designs to choose from (whilst stocks last) - please email me upon booking to let me know which design you would like to do and I will let you know if it is available**

You will learn:
- How to accurately cut out fabric
- How to sew on pockets
- How to sew box pleats (if your chosen calendar includes them)
- How to layer fabric and wadding for quilting
- How to sew simple quilting lines
