This class is for those who have used a sewing machine before.
Come along and learn how to make a super useful lined tote bag. This tote bag is perfect for light shopping, folders, newspapers, trips to the library or holiday bits and bobs. Make a statement by choosing contrast fabric for the lining and you really will have a unique bag. The bag has gusset (boxy) corners which gives more room for your bits and bobs and the lining means the bag will have more strength than a single piece of fabric in a simple shopper.
No need to bring anything – just come along and have a go.
You will learn:
- How to cut out pattern pieces using templates
- How to sew a lining into a bag
- How to apply interfacing to fabric
- How to sew bag straps
- Topstitching
- How to create gusset/boxed corners
